Malaria’s reputation as one of Africa’s greatest opps is heading for the rocks if a vaccination campaign in Malawi meets expectations.

For its first phase, the vaccination campaign targets children from five months of age to around 18 months and covers 11 of Malawi’s 28 districts.

Africa carries 95% of the world’s malaria burden, and children are the most affected. Eradicating the disease is a matter of existential importance for African children to have a future.

The minute the vaccination campaign moves to other African countries, it’s “Bye, Felicia” to malaria.
